Team Management

Eric joined the Bowling Green Hot Rods in October 2013 after a six year absence from professional sports. Eric and his wife, Sunshine spent that time working in non-profit charity work in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and United States. During their time they worked with groups helping to provide medical clinics, hot meals, education, and construction projects to those in need. Before stepping away, Eric previously spent ten seasons working in professional sports. Primarily focusing on baseball, he worked with the Ft. Wayne Wizards, Omaha Royals, and Lexington Legends where he received the 2007 Sales Executive of the Year award from the South Atlantic League. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska. Eric attended Grace University there and received his degree in business leadership. He enjoys all things Nebraska including Cornhusker football and Creighton basketball. In addition to sports, he likes to spend time with his two children, Colton & Jaxson.

Matt has spent his entire career in the sport industry. He received his degree in sports management from Western Kentucky University in 2012 and began interning with the Bowling Green Hot Rods the same year. From 2012-2016 Matt worked his way up with the Hot Rods eventually becoming the Director of Sales. In 2016 he took a job as the Senior Account Executive and Team Lead of Group Sales for the Cincinnati Bengals where he worked for two seasons; Matt returned to the Hot Rods in November 2017 as Assistant General Manager and is focused on continuing to grow the Hot Rods as a member of the South Central Kentucky Community. Matt spends his time away from the park with his wife Megan and their four boys, Jack, Teddy, Hank, and Charlie.

Bat Dog

Turbo joined the Hot Rods in December of 2019 as the official bat dog for the team. His duties include fetching the bat after the Hot Rods hit, greeting fans and being cute. Turbo is excited for his first season in Minor League Baseball. He enjoys spending time posting on his Twitter and Instagram (@HotRodsTurbo), playing in the Graves Gilbert Splash Pad, and running around Bowling Green Ballpark with his coworkers.


Kyle Wolz manages all aspects of ticket sales, focusing on all ticket revenue sources while developing and managing the Hot Rods' sales team. Kyle joined the Hot Rods in February of 2014 as an intern. Once the season concluded, Kyle was promoted to Account Executive then to Box Office Manager to oversee the day to day operation of the Hot Rods Ticket office, while focusing on group sales. Since then, Kyle has taken on the role as the Director of Sales, where he oversees the Hot Rods sales team and the selling of season tickets, mini plans and planning of large company and group outings. Kyle, a native from Louisville, Kentucky, holds a bachelor's degree in sports management from Western Kentucky University. In his free time, you can find him on the golf course working on his golf game. His favorite sports teams are the Louisville Cardinals, WKU Hilltoppers, and Tennessee Titans.

Jessica graduated from Trine University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in sport management and a master’s degree in business administration. A Union City, Indiana native, Jess made the move to Bowling Green to join the Hot Rods in 2020 as a Sales Executive and Merchandise Assistant. Prior to the Hot Rods, Jess worked in collegiate baseball; first as a Promotions and Special Events Manager and later as an Assistant GM. In her free time, Jess enjoys listening to music, watching television, or learning something new. Her favorite sports teams include the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Indiana Fever, and the Cincinnati Reds.

Alex is a Western Kentucky University December 2019 graduate and upon graduation joined the Hot Rod’s team at the start of 2020! Alex is new to the sports world and still has fingers crossed she’ll get her first season working the field. As a corporate manager for Hot Rods, Alex is responsible for Advertising and Community Partnerships. When she isn’t at the ballpark, she’s cooking for her family & two dog babies Koda and Maggie Mae, or she's somewhere on the water kayaking.

Creative Services/Marketing/Media Relations

Holli manages all social media platforms for the Hot Rods and Vette City Catering as well as all aspects of marketing for the Hot Rods. She began her career in Independent baseball before making the move to Minor League Baseball. The Visalia, California native graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a bachelor’s degree in Communications-Entertainment and Tourism in 2018. She joined the Hot Rods in February of 2019 as the Social Media Coordinator and Promotions Assistant, winning Front Office Rookie of the Year. In October of 2019, she was promoted to Social Media and Marketing Manager. When she’s not at the ballpark, you can find her hanging out with her cat, Lilac, driving around the Kentucky countryside or watching sports. Her favorite sports teams are the Cal State Fullerton Titans and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Haley manages all graphic design for the Bowling Green Hot Rods. A native of Oldham County, Kentucky, Haley graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in broadcasting. While at Western, she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi, where she served as the sorority's Director of Social Enrichment. Joining the Hot Rods in 2019 as the graphic design intern, Haley was named "Intern of the Year" by members of the front office. In addition to graphics, Haley aides in the help of the Hot Rods' MiLB stream, working as technical director. When she's not at the ballpark, Haley enjoys shopping, hanging out with friends, and watching her favorite reality TV shows. Her favorite sports teams are the Louisville Cardinals, Chicago Cubs, and Chicago Bears.

Blake manages all video production for the Hot Rods—shooting, editing, and directing videos for social media, in-park entertainment, and MiLB streaming. He received his degree in broadcasting from Western Kentucky University in 2019, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta. He has been with the Hot Rods since 2016 and has worked his way up within the organization. Working as a game day production crew member in 2016 and 2018 where he was a camera operator, game day stringer, and stadium DJ. In 2017 and 2019, Blake worked as the video intern, creating videos for social media and for in-park. When he’s not at the ballpark, Blake spends his free time golfing, playing video games, and throwing his support behind Marcus Mariota. His favorite sport teams are the WKU Hilltoppers, Cincinnati Reds, and Tennessee Titans.

Shawn Murnin is in his second season as the Hot Rods Play-By-Play Broadcaster and Media Relations Manager. The Vandling, Pennsylvania native graduated from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania with a Communications degree in 2011 and began his career in baseball with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees the same year. In 2015, he joined the Northwoods League's Mankato Moondogs and soon thereafter, made the transition back to Minor League Baseball, making stops with the Peoria Chiefs and the Hagerstown Suns. Shawn calls all Hot Rods' games on WBGN 94.5 FM/1340 AM, as well as authoring the Hot Rods' TuneUp Blog. In his free time, you can find him on the golf course, collecting baseball cards, and spending time with his wife, Sam. His favorite sports team is the Tennessee Titans.

David has worked in Minor League Baseball since 2016. He started his career with the Lexington Legends as an operations intern before moving to the clubhouse, becoming an operations manager. David made the move to Bowling Green in 2020 to become the Assistant Director of Operations, before taking over as the Director or Stadium Operations in April. A Lexington, Kentucky native, "Dinger" as he is known around the ballpark, holds a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Kentucky. David can be found spending his free time hanging out with his girlfriend, Meredith and his cat, Remy, or fishing around the SOKY area. His favorite sports teams are the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and the Kentucky Wildcats.

Kim just recently joined our front office staff in 2019 as our Bookkeeper. She's in charge of bookkeeping, payroll, and Human Resource aspects of the Hot Rods. This is Kim’s first professional sports rodeo, but she brings her Sports Management degree and has other sports work experience. Kim just recently moved here from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula with her husband, Brian, and son, Cooper. In her free time she loves traveling, usually to watch her kids play sports. Her favorite sports teams are the Michigan State Spartans, Detroit Tigers, and Detroit Lions.
