Hot Rods Offense Stalls in 6-0 Loss

Three home runs from Quad Cities are too much for Bowling Green to overcome

BOWLING GREEN, KY - The Quad Cities River Bandits evened up the series with the Bowling Green Hot Rods with a 6-0 win over the Bowling Green Hot Rods. The River Bandits scored five of the six runs on three home runs to take the win.
The River Bandits got on the board in the second inning when LF Jonathan Lacroix singled to leadoff the inning, then 2B David Hensley hit his first professional home run to make the score 2-0 Quad Cities.
Another two run home run hurt the Hot Rods in the top of the third inning when SS Miguelangel Sierra walked and 3B Colton Shaver hit a two run home run into the leftfield bullpen and Quad Cities had a 4-0 lead.
In the fourth the River Bandits scored their only run that was not on a home run. Hensley walked to start the inning, then DH Logan Mattix singled him home and the River Bandits lead the Hot Rods 5-0.
In the seventh inning Quad Cities hit their third home run of the game when this time it was RF Seth Beer hitting one out of Bowling Green Ballpark to give the River Bandits the 6-0 lead.
RHP Tyler Day made his return from the DL, and pitch a scoreless top of the ninth for the Hot Rods.
The Hot Rods will try and win the series tomorrow. First pitch will be at 12:05pm CST and the Hot Rods will send RHP Mikey York (1-0, 1.00) to the mound. He will be opposed by RHP Chad Donato (0-0, 0.64).
