MONTGOMERY, AL., — A night after suffering their largest loss of the season, the Columbus Clingstones (12-18, 38-58) had no response on offense in a 5-0 shutout loss to the Montgomery Biscuits (14-16, 52-47) on Thursday night at Riverwalk Stadium.
Decisive Plays: Montgomery took an early 1-0 lead after a wild pitch forced a throwing error from Adam Zebrowski in the first inning. A four-run breakout from Montgomery put the game away in the sixth inning.
Key Contributors: Geraldo Quintero (1-for-3) and David McCabe (1-for-4) represented the two hits for Columbus. For Montgomery, Yoniel Curet (5.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 7 SO) dominated while Colton Ledbetter, Jadher Areinamo, Brayden Taylor, and Gregory Barrios recorded RBIs.
