Baseball Factory Returns to Whataburger Field
CORPUS CHRISTI -- The Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryouts return to Whataburger Field on Sunday, October 26 at 1 p.m.
Cost is just $99 for expert evaluation by Baseball Factory staff members. Players are assessed in hitting, fielding, throwing (pitching) and running.
Open to high school players ages 14-18, Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryouts are conducted at approximately 100 locations around the U.S. each year. After evaluation, accepted players are placed in an appropriate player development program.
Baseball Factory's goal is to help high school players find the best-fitting college program. The organization has assisted over 40,000 high school players in bridging to college and counts 2,500 drafted players and 270 major leaguers as alums.
The list of Hooks players in the last two years who have gone through Baseball Factory is extensive: Andrew Aplin, Erik Castro, Chris Epps, Tyler Heineman, Jordan Jankowski, Zach Johnson, Justin Maxwell, Joe Sclafani, George Springer, Max Stassi, Jason Stoffel, Nick Tropeano, Preston Tucker and Austin Wates.
