DUNEDIN, FL-Over 50,000 fans came out to Florida Auto Exchange last season to watch the Dunedin Blue Jays win the Florida State League's North Division second-half title and that number should only rise in 2017 with a full slate of exciting ballpark promotions scheduled for the upcoming season. All of last year's fan-favorite promotions will be returning, including the popular food-themed events Pizza Night, Wing Night, and Beer, Bacon, and Fireworks, and a mix of brand new promotional events will help make the 2017 one of the most memorable in Florida Auto Exchange Stadium history.
The Blue Jays will kick off their exciting 2017 promotional schedule with an Opening Night celebration on Saturday, April 8th against the Clearwater Threshers with a magnet schedule giveaway and postgame fireworks. Gates open at 5:30 PM and first pitch will be at 6:30 PM. Fans should get to the ballpark early to enjoy all of the Opening Night festivities!
The Blue Jays are proud to support local charities and will continue to support great causes at the ballpark in 2017. Bring your favorite furry friend to the ballpark on Bark In The Park Night to help support the Suncoast Animal League on April 22nd and Dunedin Doggie Rescue on May 13th. On both of these nights, dogs are welcome in the stadium!
To complement the excellent concessions options at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium, fans will be able to sample food and drinks from local restaurants and breweries during a trio of food-themed promotions throughout the season. The ballpark will be the place to go for dinner and a show in 2017 with Pizza Night on April 20th, Wing Night on May 11th, and Beer, Bacon, and Fireworks Night on June 9th.
The Blue Jays will be offering fun for the whole family at the stadium in 2017. Celebrate the weekend with Jr. Jays Saturdays throughout the season with great gate giveaways for kids. Come out in costume for Superhero Night on June 10th, Mascot Night on July 8th, and Princesses and Pirates Night on July 22nd. Students can take a study break at the stadium during Education Day on May 16th, and the Jays will help kick off the new school year on August 26th with Back To School Night fireworks.
Few things are more American than our National Pastime and baseball fans can begin their Independence Day festivities at the ballpark with Hometown USA, a free event featuring a concert and fireworks at the park on July 3rd. Wear your stars and stripes to the stadium for the Blue Jays game against Daytona at 6:15 and stay for great music and fireworks after.
Other great events at the ballpark include Fishing Night on May 18th, Ladies Night on August 5th, and Blue Jays Fan Appreciation Night and Garage Sale on September 2nd.
