Dunedin, FL - The Blue Jays won a rain-shortened game, 5-2, over the Daytona Cubs on Sunday night at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium. Storm clouds rolled through and pounded the field with water in the eighth inning, and the game was stopped after an on-and-off downpour of over 20 minutes.

The Jays scored the first three runs of the game in the third inning on an RBI double from SS Peter Mooney and a two-run single by CF Michael Crouse. 3B Shane Opitz went 2-for-3 with a double and his first home run of the season, a leadoff blast against starter Yao-Lin Wang (L, 2-2) in the fifth inning.

1B K.C. Hobson added a longball of his own off reliever Larry Suarez, and now leads the team with 12 homers this season.

Dunedin starter RHP Kyle Drabek put together an impressive outing, allowing just one hit with no walks and four strikeouts in two innings of work. All four strikeout victims went down swinging at breaking pitches.

RHP Sergio Santos tossed a scoreless third with one hit and one K, turning the ball over to RHP Marco Grifantini (W, 3-2), who went 3.2 innings while allowing two runs on three hits with two walks, three strikeouts, and a solo homer by Taiwan Easterling.

LHP Tyler Ybarra (S, 1) continued his lights-out pitching, giving up one hit and one walk while recording one strikeout in his 1.1 innings, increasing his scoreless streak to 26.2 frames.

The Jays went 3-for-8 with runners in scoring position while holding the Cubs to 0-for-9 in those same scenarios.

RHP Aaron Sanchez will pitch tomorrow's rubber match as Dunedin hosts Daytona on Camp Day at 11 a.m. at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium.
