Homestand Preview: July 4th-8th

Trifector of Fireworks, Innertube and Camp Day
July 1, 2013

RICHMOND, VA - The Flying Squirrels host the Akron Aeros for a five-game series starting on Independence Day. Fans will enjoy three firework extravaganzas on July 4th, 5th and 6th! This is the first of two series at The Diamond against the 2012 Eastern League Champion Akron Aeros.

Thursday, July 4th vs. Aeros

Gates Open:  5:00 PM First Pitch:  6:35 PM

Celebrate Independence Day at The Diamond with post-game fireworks presented by Heart of Virginia Chevy, Verizon Wireless and Chili's. The Squirrels will wear Patriotic Jerseys that will be auctioned off on July 5th.The Hit List will rock the AT&T Family Entertainment Zone Stage for all fans to hear.

Friday, July 5th vs. Aeros

Gates Open: 6:00 PM First Pitch: 7:05 PM

Celebrate Independence Day at The Diamond with post-game fireworks presented by Heart of Virginia Chevy, Verizon Wireless and Chili's. The Squirrels will auction off Patriotic Jerseys benefiting the Virginia Special Olympics. Freddy C and the C Notes will perform on the AT&T Family Entertainment Zone Stage. Every Friday Night is Ladies Night where ladies 18 and older can win great prizes from our sponsors! After the game Kids Run the Bases presented by McDonald's and Richmond Family Magazine!

Saturday, July 6th vs. Aeros

Gates Open: 4:30 PM First Pitch: 6:05 PM

The All-Star Celebration wouldn't be complete without post-game fireworks presented by UnitedHealthcare. The Squirrels will honor the players who will be participating in the Eastern League All-Star Game on July 10th. Pre-game the Hanover Hawks baseball team will be recongized for their 2013 State Championship. River City Katz will entertain fans on the AT&T Family Entertainment Zone Stage. After the game Kids Run the Bases presented by McDonald's and Richmond Family Magazine!

Sunday, July 7th vs. Aeros

Gates Open: 12:30 PM First Pitch: 2:05 PM

Kroger Squirrel Tails Members Eat Free every Sunday! The first 2,000 kids 14 and under will receive a Mascot Innertube courtesy of Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU. Quintessential Jazz soothes the hearts of the Squirrels faithful on the AT&T Family Entertainment Zone Stage. Catch on the Field presented by Nesquik starts from 1:15 PM to 1:35 PM and Kids Run the Bases presented by McDonald's and Richmond Family Magazine after the game!

Monday, July 8th vs. Aeros

Gates Open: 11:00 AM First Pitch: 12:05 PM

It's Camp Day at The Diamond as camps throughout Central Virginia spend a day at The Diamond. The All In band will perform on the AT&T Family Entertainment Zone Stage. Also all fans will enjoy $1 Hot Dogs and Buy One Ticket, Get One Ticket Free with a McDonald's receipt as part of McDonald's Monday!!
