Grizzlies Gift-Giving Tour Spreads Holiday Joy

Organization To Distribute Over 150 Toys To Children In Need Over Two-Day Event
December 21, 2010
FRESNO, CA - The Fresno Grizzlies, Triple-A affiliate of the 2010 World Champion San Francisco Giants, will be hitting the road for the annual Grizzlies Gift-Giving Tour this week. The Grizzlies will visit community organizations and hospitals around the Central Valley, distributing gifts to children in need this Wednesday and Thursday.

On Wednesday, the Grizzlies Gift-Giving Tour will visit various Adventist Health/Community Care locations around the Central Valley between 10:00am and 3:00pm. The Grizzlies will also make donations to the Marjoree Mason Center that day. The event continues Thursday, starting with a visit to the Ronald McDonald House at Children's Hospital in Madera at 10:30am. From there, the Tour will head to the Clovis Community Medical Center at 11:30am before concluding at Mosqueda Community Center at 12:30pm.

The annual Grizzlies Gift-Giving Tour is made possible thanks to generous donations of toys by Grizzlies' season ticket holders, who are instrumental each year in helping the organization's community holiday outreach. Over 150 toys were donated during the annual holiday party last week at Chukchansi Park.

"We are so proud to have our season ticket holders join us in the spirit of giving," said Grizzlies Director of Community Relations Danielle Witt. "Their generosity allows us to spread joy around the Valley every holiday season."

The Fresno Grizzlies begin their 10th season at Chukchansi Park on Thursday, April 7th, 2011 when they welcome the Las Vegas 51s to downtown Fresno. Season ticket and mini-plan packages are now available at the Chukchansi Park Box Office or by calling 559-320-HITS.
