Fans will have Opportunity to have photo with Championship Trophy
Hartford, Conn- The Hartford Yard Goats Baseball Club, the Double-A Affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, has announced that the Stanley Cup is coming to Dunkin’ Park next Tuesday, August 18th and will be available for fans to have their photos taken with from 11:30 AM until 2:00 PM. The Stanley Cup Championship Trophy is awarded annually to the National Hockey League champion and is being brought to Hartford by the Hockey Hall of Fame. It is the oldest existing trophy awarded to a professional sports franchise in North America. Fans do not need tickets for this free event but donations will be accepted to benefit the Tunnel To Towers Foundation. Fans can enter the main gate on the corner of Trumbull Street and Main Street for a photo opportunity.
“We’re thrilled that our community will have the opportunity to come take a photo with the iconic Stanley Cup at Dunkin Park,” Yard Goats President Tim Restall said. “Thank you to the Hockey Hall of Fame, and former Whalers Equipment Manager Bob Gorman for making this happen for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Hartford is a special place, and the Yard Goats take great pride in continuing the tradition of professional sports in the capital city.”

The Tunnel To Towers Foundation carries out its mission to “do good” by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building specially adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders.
The Yard Goats continue their two-week homestand tonight (7:10 PM) against the Erie SeaWolves and the New York Yankees affiliate, the Somerset Patriots visit next week. Fans may purchase tickets on the Yard Goats website yardgoatsbaseball.com, or over the phone at 860-246-4628, and tickets will be delivered digitally. Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase tickets in person at the Click It or Ticket Box Office at Dunkin' Park.
