Yard Goats Give Up Five Runs in 8th and Lose   
Harrisburg, PA- The Harrisburg Senators scored five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning and defeated the Hartford Yard Goats by the score of 7-6 on Friday night at FNB Field in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Hartford had a 6-2 lead before the Senators rallied with five consecutive hits against the Yard Goats bullpen. Jake Lowery had the big pinch hit two-RBI single scoring Zach Collier with the tying run and Osvaldo Abreu with the go-ahead run as Harrisburg defeated Hartford by one-run for the second consecutive night. Yard Goats All-Star closer Matt Pierpont had his franchise record of 19 consecutive saves streak end as he was tagged with the loss. He was reached for a run for the first time since June 16 after eight straight scoreless outings.             
For the second straight game the Yard Goats took the early lead with a pair of runs in the second inning. Chris Rabago ripped a two-run single scoring Brandon Bednar and Forrest Wall giving the Yard Goats a 2-0 edge against Senators starter Jaron Long.
The Senators tied the game in the bottom half of the frame with two runs off Hartford starter Evan Grills. Zach Collier cracked a two-RBI double bringing home Raudy Read and Jake Noll tying the game at 2-2.
The Yard Goats broke the tie in the third inning as Yonathan Daza scored Brendan Rodgers on as an infield single, his second of three hits in his first game back since early June. Hartford added a run in the fourth inning on Mylz Jones' sacrifice fly and two more in the sixth on back-to-back bases loaded walks to take a 6-2 lead.        
The Yard Goats continue the four game series against the Senators on Saturday night (6:00 PM). RHP Ryan Castellani will start for the Yard Goats while RHP Tyler Mapes will start for Harrisburg. The game will be broadcast on AM 1410 WPOP and streamed on newsradio.1410.com and MiLB.com. The Yard Goats will return to Dunkin' Donuts Park for their next homestand on Monday vs Reading at 7:05 PM.
