Robert Neustrom and Joey Ortiz each hit homers as the Baltimore Orioles affiliate improved to a league best 18-5 record. The Baysox scored the first run of the game in the fourth inning as Jayleen Fergusson doubled home J.C. Escarra off Hartford starting pitcher Matt Dennis. Two batters later Robert Neustrom cranked a two-run homer over the right field wall, giving Bowie a 3-0 lead.

Bowie added a run in the fifth inning as Joey Ortiz led off the inning with a solo home run, his first homer of the season in his third game with the Baysox. Bowie made it 5-0 with a two-out rally in the sixth inning. After Johnny Rizer led off with a single, Hartford reliever Zach Matson retired the next two batters. However, Terrin Vavra came up with a solid single into right field off reliever Jake Bird, scoring Rizer and giving Bowie a 5-0 lead.
