Hartford, CT- Infielder Sean Bouchard blasted a three-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th inning to lead the Yard Goats to a 7-5 victory on Saturday night at Dunkin’ Donuts Park in Hartford. The Yard Goats were down 5-4 in the 10th with one out before Bouchard hit a rocket over the fence in left centerfield for his seventh homer of the season. Yard Goats starter Ryan Feltner turned in a quality start and worked into the seventh inning, allowing just three runs. Outfielder Matt Hearn made a pair of stellar catches in center field, and Manny Melendez homered, doubled and drove in three runs, in front of a sellout crowd.

The Fisher Cats took a 2-0 lead in the third inning on a two-run home run by Demi Orimoloye. The Yard Goats answered in the bottom of the inning as Manny Melendez led off the frame with a solo home run, as he cranked one down the right field line into the second deck to make it a 2-1 game. New Hampshire added a run in the sixth inning on Otto Lopez’s RBI single.

However, the Yard Goats scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take a 4-3 lead. Elehuris Montero singled home Willie MacIver to make it a 3-2 game and later that inning Manny Melendez ripped a two-run double, giving the Yard Goats the lead.

The Fisher Cats tied the game 4-4 on Samad Taylor’s sacrifice fly and took a 5-4 lead on Chris Bec’s RBI double in the 10th inning. Again, the Yard Goats came back. Matt Hearn was the runner at second base, Willie MacIver got hit by a pitch and Sean Bouchard cranked the game winning homer as the Yard Goats defeated New Hampshire for the second time in three games.
