Hawks celebrate 30th anniversary season; opening with League Champion Spokane

The Boise Hawks, the Short Season affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, in conjunction with the Northwest League, have announced their 2017 schedule.

The 2017 campaign begins on the road against the reigning Northwest League Champion Spokane Indians (Texas Rangers) on Thursday, June 15th. The Hawks' Opening Night will take place on Tuesday, June 20th against the Eugene Emeralds (Chicago Cubs). The final regular season game of the season will be held at home on Sunday, September 3rd against the Hillsboro Hops (Arizona Diamondbacks).

"The 30th Anniversary Season at Memorial Stadium is going to be one to remember," said General Manager Bob Flannery. "The front office is already hard at work to make this season of Hawks baseball the best yet."

This season, all 38 home games will begin at 7:15 PM, with the Memorial Stadium gates opening at 6:30 PM (gates for July 3rd's game will open at 6:00 PM). The Hawks will welcome each of the seven other Northwest League teams to the Treasure Valley this summer. All 76 Boise Hawks games will broadcast via internet radio on BoiseHawks.com, the TuneIn Radio phone app, and MiLB's First Pitch phone app.

The Hawks will host five Monday games (four will be Feed Your Face Mondays, with the exception of July 3rd), six Tuesdays, five Wednesdays, five Thursdays (Thirsty Thursday), four Fridays, five Saturdays, and six Sundays.

The full promotional schedule; including post-game fireworks shows, giveaways, touring entertainment acts, and theme programs; will be released by the Hawks in the future.
