Hops Make Senior-Level Additions to Front Office Staff

Hillsboro, Ore. (January 21, 2026) – The Hillsboro Hops announced on Wednesday some senior-level additions to the front office staff.

Lauren Wombacher (Director of Finance) re-joined the Hops’ front office after being with the team from 2006-2022. Wombacher was the Director of Merchandise for the Yakima Bears from 2006-2012 and played a big role in transitioning the team to Hillsboro where she was on staff for ten years.

Jason Gavigan (Vice President of Facilities) also re-joined the Hops team after stints with the Wichita Wind Surge and Sporting Kansas City (MLS). Gavigan was on staff with the Yakima Bears when the team moved to Hillsboro where he spent nine seasons with the Hops.

Brett Fornshell (Head Groundskeeper) has joined the Hops’ front office staff full-time after spending 15 years with the City of Hillsboro parks maintenance team. He was the head groundskeeper at Hillsboro Ballpark for the last three seasons.

Christie Wong (Director of Partnership Sales) comes to the Hops after 13 years as the Sponsorship Director for the Portland Rose Festival Foundation. The University of Oregon alum will be in her first season with the Hops.
