CORPUS CHRISTI - Three crucial District 30-5A zone games are on tap Friday afternoon and evening as the MIRA'S High School Legends Baseball Series resumes at Whataburger Field.

At 2 p.m., 15th-ranked Ray (10-3; 1-1) tangles with Miller (6-5; 1-1) in the city's oldest rivalry. The matchup features two-left-handed starters, Texan freshman Isaac Flores and Buc junior Jared Cruz, the 2017 Matt Beveridge Award recipient.

At 5 o'clock, senior southpaw and 2016 all-state selection Dustin Saenz takes the ball for No. 3 King (12-4; 1-0) against Veterans Memorial (9-6; 0-2). Vets coach Lee Yeager is undecided on a starter.

Ninth-ranked Moody (11-0; 2-0) and all-state senior Marcus Cantu renew one of high school baseball's great rivalries when the Trojans face No. 25 Carroll (9-3; 1-0) and senior all-state lefty Ryan Flores at 8 p.m.

Tickets are available at the Whataburger Field box office. Adult admission is $5.50; youth tickets (ages 4-18) are $3.50.

Gates open at 1 p.m.
