CORPUS CHRISTI - Once again, the Corpus Christi Hooks, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Kleberg Bank are offering a unique and simple fundraising program.

Coastal Bend clubs, associations and organizations may sell 2013 Kleberg Bank College Classic tickets and keep half the proceeds.

Oklahoma, New Mexico and Iowa join the Islanders February 22-23-24 at Whataburger Field.

“Baseball fans are in for a real treat this year with the Kleberg Bank College Classic,” Hooks president Ken Schrom said. “OU and New Mexico are perennial NCAA Tournament teams and Iowa an emerging force in the Big Ten with lots of young talent. (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi coach) Scott Malone looks to have a nice team out on the Island. It will be a great weekend of college baseball right here at Whataburger Field.”

Oklahoma ranks 14th in the Collegiate Baseball preseason poll. New Mexico is 33rd.
