The quartet of Anthony Castro, Evan Hill, Wladimir Pinto and Eduardo Jiménez extended the Flying Tigers consecutive scoreless innings pitched streak to 22 and propelled Lakeland to a 4-0 victory over the Stone Crabs.

Castro made his first start of the second half and pitched 5 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing just four hits while striking out six. The Flying Tigers scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the third when catcher Andres Sthormes tripled in Zac Shepherd. Third baseman Isaac Paredes added to the lead in the fourth with his team-leading sixth home run of the season, a solo blast that put Lakeland up 2-0.
While the pitching continued to dominate, the Flying Tigers added two insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth. First baseman Dylan Burdeaux laced an RBI-double to center to score Troy Montgomery, who walked earlier in the inning. After a pitching change, Burdeaux touched home on a sharp single from Danny Pinero, giving Lakeland a four-run lead. Hill, Pinto, and Jimenez combined to allow just one hit in relief to cement the team's second straight 4-0 win.
Up Next: The Flying Tigers will travel to Fort Myers for the beginning of a five-game road trip Friday night, starting lefty Eudis Idrogo (1-0, 3.76 ERA) amid a perfect 6-0 start to the second half. The Miracle will counter with Tyler Wells (6-3, 2.68 ERA), looking to end Lakeland's recent string of success.
The Flying Tigers will return to Publix Field on Wednesday, July 4th for an All-
American holiday celebration. Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. for a 5:00 p.m. start, followed by an on-field post-game concert by Sofa Kings and a fireworks extravaganza.
