GM Zach Burek Named FSL Executive of the Year
Burek is in his fifth season as General Manager of the Lakeland Flying Tigers and his tenth season with the Tigers organization. He started with the Flying Tigers as an intern in 1999 while attending Southern New Hampshire University. Zach saw the club set a new attendance record this season, and records were also set in concession and merchandise sales. Zach was very instrumental in leading the organization to these records. He is also quick to credit his staff for their hard work and dedication in establishing these goals.
Zach, in addition to his duties and responsibilities as a General Manager, is the Baseball Chapel Advisory Group representative for the Florida State League.
He has a great passion for the game of baseball and his pleasing personality, willingness to always help, dedication and integrity well carry him far in this great game. Zach is married to Carla and resides in Lakeland.
