Angels Recall Kole Calhoun

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that the club has recalled outfielder Kole Calhoun from Triple-A Salt Lake.

Calhoun, 24, has appeared in 105 games for the Bees in 2012, hitting .298 with 30 doubles, seven triples, 14 home runs, 73 RBI and 12 stolen bases. The 2012 Pacific Coast League All-Star leads Salt Lake in triples and runs scored (79). Calhoun has appeared in 11 games for the Angels this season, hitting .200 with one double and one stolen base. He made his major league debut with the Angels on May 22, 2012 against the Oakland A's, in just his third season playing professional baseball.

The Buckeye, Ariz. native was originally selected by the Angels in the eighth round of the 2010 Draft.
