AquaSox Announce 2011 Promotional Schedule

Everett, Wash. - The defending NWL Champion Everett AquaSox announced their 2011 Promotional Schedule on Monday. The upcoming season, beginning June 22nd, is the club's 17th season as a Seattle Mariners affiliate and 28th season in Everett. Fans can look forward to many unique giveaways and promotions, including seven fireworks shows and three jersey auctions.

Several 2010 Northwest League Championship-themed promotions will be included in 2011, kicking off on Opening Night with an on-field Championship Celebration before the game. Friday, June 24th the first 1,000 fans will receive a Championship Playing Card Set, courtesy of Safeco Insurance, and the first 1,000 fans on Saturday, July 23rd will receive a Championship Fleece Blanket, courtesy of Comcast.

The AquaSox are hosting two Military Appreciation Nights, in 2011, the first on Thursday, June 23rd, which is also the first Tasty Thursday, presented by Miller Lite. Every Thursday in 2011 will include $2 food specials on hot dogs, sodas, peanuts and Miller Lite. The second Military Appreciation Night, presented by Union Bank, will be on Friday, August 26th and will include a special appearance from WWE Legend Sgt. Slaughter.

Mariners fans will enjoy Mariners Day on Sunday, June 26th as the first 1,000 fans will receive a special giveaway courtesy of the Seattle Mariners. The AquaSox will be wearing Mariners Throw-Back jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game. Mariners fans should also mark their calendars for Saturday, July 16th as the AquaSox will be giving away a special edition Felix Hernandez Cy Young Statue. Hernandez played for the AquaSox in 2003 and will be depicted in his AquaSox jersey.

Saturday, July 30th will be Japanese Heritage Night, as the AquaSox players will sport special Japanese AquaSox jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game, with proceeds benefiting Tsunami Relief efforts.

Fan Favorites Root Beer Float Day (August 7), Bark in the Park (August 10) and Frogstock (August 13) return in 2011, and the Frogstock jersey auction will round out the collectible jerseys for the season.

Other must-see promotions include a Skateboard Deck giveaway on July 22, a Spyder Webb Bobblehead giveaway on August 12 and a special performance by The Inflatamaniacs on August 14.

AquaSox pre-season festivities begin Sunday, May 22nd with their 13th annual Fan Fest, marking the first day of single-game ticket sales for the 2011 season. The event will be held at the AquaSox Stadium Store at 3802 Broadway in Everett and Everett Memorial Stadium.
