Blue Jays hosting Green Day on April 22

Outdoor activities, energy conservation to be presented at event
April 13, 2010
When the Dunedin Blue Jays host the Brevard County Manatees on Thursday, April 22nd, Dunedin Stadium will present Green Day, an event for fans to explore the different things that can be done in their daily lives in the fields of energy conservation and outdoor activities.

Fans will be able to see the different exhibits that give fans information on all the great things that are being done locally to help out Mother Nature, and "green tips" will help fans be more environmentally aware.

Publix will be on hand with give-away items, and fans can check out the exhibits and get information on the great local outdoor activities in the Dunedin area, including the Pinellas Trail and Honeymoon Island.

Proceeds of the event will benefit the Friends of the Island Parks, a local volunteer organization that supports Honeymoon Island, Caladesi Island and the Gulf Islands GEOpark.

For more information on the event or for ways that interested parties can get involved, contact Kevin Schildt by calling (727) 738-7024 or by e-mail at [email protected].
