Brown sets Bisons wins record
Buffalo skipper Marty Brown won his 254th game Sunday, becoming the winningest manager in the team's modern era as the Bisons beat Rochester, 5-3. Brown passed Buffalo Baseball Hall of Famer Brian Graham for the most wins since the franchise returned to Triple-A.
The win also was the 16th for Buffalo this month, the most by any Bisons team in the modern era.
Moises Sierra paced the Bisons with three hits, including a double, and two RBIs. Anthony Gose went 2-for-4 and Ryan Langerhans homered.

Mark Hamilton, Bryce Brentz and Dan Butler hit consecutive home runs in the seventh inning, but Pawtucket fell to visiting Columbus, 6-5. For Brentz, the Red Sox's No. 7 prospect, the homer was his third of the year.
Matt Lawson had two hits and three RBIs for Columbus. Matt Carson drew two walks and stole a base, while Cedric Hunter, Juan Diaz and Omir Santos had two hits apiece.

Iowa set season highs for homers and runs in a 10-6 win over Omaha. The Cubs led 7-0 after two innings behind longballs from Brett Jackson and Ryan Sweeney. Brent Lillibridge and Brian Bogusevic went yard later in the game and Jackson and Bogusevic each finished with three RBIs.
David Lough, Xavier Nady and Adam Moore homered for Omaha, with Lough and Brandon Wood picking up two RBIs apiece.

Vince Belnome went 4-for-5 with a homer and four RBIs to lead Durham to a 13-3 win over Syracuse. Jason Bourgeois and Rays top prospect Wil Myers each drove in two runs.
Nationals No. 12 prospect Chris Marrero had three hits, including a double, an RBI and a run scored for the Chiefs. Carlos Rivero also doubled on a 2-for-3 afternoon.

Cardinals top prospect Oscar Taveras went 2-for-2 and hit his second Triple-A homer to boost Memphis to a 1-0 victory over Nashville in the first game of a doubleheader.
Ryan Jackson added three hits in support of Cardinals No. 10 prospect John Gast, who struck out seven over five shutout innings to improve to 3-0. Mike Fiers took the loss, despite pitching a complete game.
Memphis completed the sweep with a 2-1 victory as Chad Huffman supplied a solo homer in the seventh that proved the difference.

D-backs No. 4 prospect Matt Davidson had three hits and Taylor Harbin homered as Reno roughed up Fresno starter Michael Kickham in an 11-2 victory. No. 6 prospect Chris Owings and Brad Snyder each added two hits for the Aces.
Kickham, ranked 12th among Giants prospects, fell to 0-3 after allowing eight runs -- six earned -- on 11 hits over five innings. He struck out seven and did not walk a batter.
