Cal teams force decisive Game 5s

Lancaster, defending champ San Jose hold off Lake Elsinore, Stockton

Daniel Nava and Luis Exposito keyed a two-run sixth-inning rally that lifted the visiting Lancaster JetHawks to a 4-3 win over the Lake Elsinore Storm on Tuesday.

The victory knotted their best-of-5 second round California League playoff series, 2-2. The decisive Game 5 will be played Wednesday at Lancaster.

With the game tied in the sixth, 2-2, Nava ripped an RBI double to left and then raced home on Exposito's single to right. Nava had two doubles and two RBIs on the night.

Blake Maxwell (1-0) allowed two runs on eight hits, fanning four and walking one over six frames to pick up the win. Derrick Loop gave up a run on three hits, striking out five and walking one over three innings to post his first save.

Luis Durango and Eric Sogard collected three hits apiece for the Storm.

Nathan Culp (1-1) yielded four runs on six hits, fanning one and walking two over six innings for the loss. Box score
