Chiefs to play 13-game spring schedule

Toledo, Gwinnett, Oklahoma City on tap beginning March 15

Syracuse, NY-The Syracuse Chiefs, Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, will play a 13-game spring training schedule in preparation for the 2012 regular season.

The Chiefs will take on the Toledo Mud Hens (Detroit Tigers) three times, Oklahoma City RedHawks (Houston Astros) five times, and Gwinnett Braves (Atlanta Braves) five times. Syracuse home games will be played at the Washington Nationals complex in Viera, FL.

The complete schedule is as follows (all games begin at 1:00pm):

New manager Tony Beasley's Chiefs team will take the field for the first time in the regular season on Thursday, April 5 at Alliance Bank Stadium against the Rochester Red Wings. Tickets for Opening Day can be purchased online at SyracuseChiefs.com or by calling 315-474-7833 beginning at 10:00am on Monday, March 5. The ticket office will open for walk-up sales for Opening Day on Saturday, March 17 at 10:00am.

Tickets for the remaining 81 International League games to be played at Alliance Bank Stadium during the 2012 season, including the 10 Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees "home" games, will go on sale Monday, March 26 at 10:00am. Full and partial season ticket plans are on sale now.
