Chiefs, Yankees suspended on Tuesday night
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre led the game 2-0 when the game was suspended. The Yankees scored both of their runs in the top of the fourth against Chiefs starter Mitch Atkins. A Colin Curtis sacrifice fly to right field drove in Dewayne Wise to start the scoring. Wise then came home on a double by shortstop Doug Bernier. Both runs, however, were unearned after Syracuse leftfielder Corey Brown misplayed a fly ball off the bat of third baseman Brandon Laird.
The Chiefs had just one hit - a Mark Teahen single - in the first four innings.
Syracuse plays on the road for the first time in 2012 Wednesday night at 7:05pm against Lehigh Valley. Tanner Roark is expected to start for the Chiefs against Austin Hyatt of the IronPigs.
