Davidson collects five RBIs for Aces

No. 2 D-backs prospect nabs four hits, narrowly misses cycle

Matt Davidson, the D-backs' second-ranked prospect, was a triple shy of the cycle during a four-hit, five-RBI performance in Reno's 17-7 thrashing of Salt Lake on Monday.

Two of the four hits by Brad Snyder were homers and he plated four runs. Chris Owings, ranked just behind Davidson in the Arizona system, added three hits -- including a double -- three runs scored, two RBIs and two stolen bases.

Luis Rodriguez homered and doubled for the Bees.

Playing in his second Triple-A game, No. 2 Pirates prospect Gregory Polanco delivered two hits, a stolen base and a run for Indianapolis in the Indians' 7-5 loss to Louisville.

Six Indy hitters reached base at least twice, and the team totaled 14 hits. Chase d'Arnaud had a pair of RBIs.

Denis Phipps hit a ninth-inning grand slam and No. 14 Reds prospect Ryan LaMarre was aboard twice and scored once for the Bats.

Eugenio Velez tripled, scored a run and put together his second consecutive three hit game to finish the season with a .377 average over 38 PCL games in leading Nashville to a 2-1 win over Iowa.

Hunter Morris hit his 24th homer to account for the Sounds' RBIs. Morris is the Brewers' No. 7 prospect.

Tim Torres homered and doubled for the I-Cubs.

Chun-Hsiu Chen's fourth hit of the game was a walk-off single in Columbus' 8-7 victory over Toledo. He also scored once.

Matt LaPorta and Omir Santos both went yard for the Clippers.

Gustavo Nunez was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, a walk and two runs scored for the Mud Hens.
