Daytona Cubs Announce 2013 Schedule

Daytona Beach, FL - The Daytona Cubs have released the 2013 schedule, with Opening Night scheduled for Thursday, April 4th at 7:05p.m. as the Cubs take on their rivals - The Brevard County Manatees with fireworks following the game.

The 2013 scheduled is packed full of Jackie Robinson Ballpark annual favorites, such as Belly-Buster Mondays, Thirsty Thursdays, post-game fireworks shows, and Cubby's Crew and Silver Sluggers nights as well.

In total, there are 15 scheduled fireworks shows at Jackie Robinson Ballpark in 2013. The Daytona skies will light up after each of the 11 Saturday home games, Opening Night, Sunday, May 26th (the evening before Memorial Day), July 4th and Sunday, September 1st to conclude the season.

Fans will be able to enjoy their usual all-you-can-eat hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, peanuts and popcorn with 10 scheduled Belly-Buster Mondays. On Monday, June 24th and Monday, August 12th, the Cubs will also feature "Taste of Daytona" with local restaurants sampling their best cuisine on the Jackie Robinson Ballpark Riverwalk.

The 2013 schedule features 11 Thursday home games and nine Thirsty Thursdays (excludes Opening Night and July 4th), with seven of them prior to the All-Star Break. Thirsty Thursdays feature $1 sodas and 12 oz. draft beers.

The Daytona Cubs offer two of the best age-relative deals in Minor League Baseball with Cubby's Crew and Silver Sluggers. All fans 13 years of age and younger can attend all 10 2013 Friday home games for just $6, and receive a free t-shirt as well! Yes, that's $6 for all 10 games. Fans 60 years of age and older can enjoy 11 2013 home games for just $15, and that includes a Silver Sluggers t-shirt and a free small soda or coffee each game. Silver Sluggers days are the nine 2013 Tuesday evening games and two Sunday games on July 14th and August 18th.

Education Days are scheduled for Wednesday, May 1st and Wednesday May 15th, with first pitch scheduled for 10:35a.am. The 2013 Camp Day is slated for Wednesday, July 24th at 12:05p.m.

The Daytona Cubs have added an additional "Dog Days" at the Ballpark for 2013, so fans can now bring their pooches with them to three games at The Jack! Dog Days fall on Friday, April 26th, Friday, June 7th and Friday, August 30th.
