Doubledays to Meet Yankees in NYPL Championship

Auburn, NY - After Saturday night's 1-0 defeat of the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Staten Island Yankees will meet the Auburn Doubledays in the 2011 New York-Penn League Championship Series.


The Doubledays will host game one of the series on Monday, September 12th at 7:05pm at Falcon Park. Games two and three (if necessary) will be played in Staten Island.


Auburn and Staten Island split a two game series earlier this year in Staten Island. The teams were scheduled to play three games, but the final game of the series was cancelled due to rain.
