Doubleheader Tonight at the Pfitz!

Fireworks and a Camp Out After the Game
July 14, 2011

(Woodbridge, VA) The Potomac Nationals and Kinston Indians play a doubleheader at Pfitzner Stadium tonight starting at 5:30 pm, with gates opening at 4:30. It's Fireworks at the Pfitz and Scout Night. We have a packed schedule of post-game entertainment that includes fireworks, kids run the bases presented by Glory Days Grill, and a movie on our big screen scoreboard.

For Scout Night, we'll have a scout parade in between games and a camp-out on the field afterward! For those who stay the night, you'll get the 2011 commemorative scout patch. And for a little camp-out entertainment, we're showing "Toy Story 2." To learn more about Scout Night and what we have going on this weekend, click here.

On the field it's a match-up of two of the best teams in the Carolina League. The P-Nats are in first place in the Northern Division, and the Indians are in first in the Southern. Washington's 2nd-round pick last year Sammy Solis pitches in game one for Potomac.

Potomac is coming off a 4-3 win last night over Kinston. Shortstop Francisco Soriano was the only offense the P-Nats needed, hitting two two-run home runs. Starting pitcher Danny Rosenbaum pitched brilliantly and won his fifth game of the season.
