Halloween Night comes to LeLacheur Aug. 22
As soon as the gates open, our staff will be putting on a number of exciting events to get everyone involved in the inaugural "Halloween Night." First and foremost, we want to get fans in the spirit by encouraging costumes in the stadium. Most of the staff here at LeLacheur will be decked out as well, so there's no reason to come without one.
Those fans who do dress up will be welcome on field for a pre-game parade around the warning track. This will be a great chance to check out the field that your favorite Spinners play on and see how your costume stacks up against the others. Also, all kids who come out to support the Spinners that night will be given a chance to "trick-or-treat" around LeLacheur. All along the concourse, our sponsors will have tables set up ready to hand out candy to any child in a costume.
Beyond the fun you'll be sure to have, there are also a few other incentives to dress up. There will be an official "Best Costume" competition here at the ballpark, in which finalists will be narrowed down throughout the game. During the 7th inning stretch, the top three winners will be decided on field based on the always popular "cheer-ometer." Those fans lucky enough to make it this far will be rewarded for their creativity and originality.
The winner of third place will take home an incredible entertainment package, complete with gift certificates to a number of local businesses: JayGee's Ice Cream & Fun Center, Brunswick Bonus Bowling, Chunky's Cinema Pub and Canobie Lake.
As good as that sounds, it only gets better from there. The second place winner will go home with a brand new iPod, complete with headphones to listen to all of your favorite songs. For the grand prize winner, whose costume will surely be breathtaking, we'll have a brand new laptop computer to walk away with. I doubt you'll find one of those when dumping out your pillowcase of candy in October. Who would have ever thought that having fun could be so rewarding?
To be clear, all ages are eligible for this competition and we hope to get a variety of entrants. With your help, we want to make this an annual event here at the park for all fans to look forward to. Come help us make this night a success, and you'll be rewarded in more ways than one. Think of it as a preview for the actual holiday on October 31st, the only difference being summer weather and even more fun.
