LOWELL, MASS. - The Lowell Spinners, Class-A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, are rolling out the black and gold carpet and welcoming Boston Bruins star and Stanley Cup Champion Tyler Seguin to LeLacheur Park Wednesday evening for a special "Speed Dating" promotion and there are a number of ways local lucky ladies can earn some private time with the eligible bachelor.

Seguin will be on hand for the Spinners' game with the Aberdeen IronBirds, the first of a six-game homestand, and winners will be selected throughout the evening for a chance to spend some alone time with the superstar.

There are four ways fans can earn a spot:

  • One guaranteed spot is available in an eBay auction, with 100 percent of the proceeds to benefit Lowell Spinners Charities. The eBay auction ends just prior to 4:30 and can be found HERE.
  • One fan will be picked from the Lowell Spinners Facebook. To be eligible, fans must change their photo to the Spinners Speed Dating graphic and comment on the post with why they deserve a spot. This can be done HERE.
  • Fans will have a chance to win a spot at the game itself by purchasing a gameday program and submitting the contest entry form. Winners will be selected at random. Additional spots will be randomly selected from marked concessions and merchandise products. Tickets can be found HERE.
  • The last spot will have to be earned. At the end of the first inning, four ladies attending the game wearing Seguin shirts (to be selected at game) will participate in a hockey themed between inning challenge with the winner claiming a spot.

"We wanted to make the process both random and selective at the same time," said Spinners Vice President of Corporate Communication Jon Goode. "This way we can awards spots to the casual fan and the Seguin diehards at once."

Each winner and their family will have the opportunity to spend five minutes with Seguin, giving them the chance to ask the Stanley Cup Champion and NHL All Star questions, take photos, enjoy the game and see if they aren't a match for love.

Tickets to the game itself remain available at or by phone at (978) 459-1702.
