GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Greenville Drive are pleased to announce that Eric Jarinko has been promoted to vice president--assistant general manager. Jarinko, a 2004 graduate of Clemson University, is currently in his eighth season with the Drive.

"Eric's promotion to assistant general manager is well earned, as he personifies what the Drive brand stands for," commented Drive president and co-Owner, Craig Brown. "Eric has been a crucial member of our front office since the Drive's inaugural season, and we take great pride in his accomplishments and in adding important responsibilities to his already impressive career with the Drive."

"We couldn't have found a better person for this position," noted Drive general manager, Mike deMaine. "Eric's track record and experience speaks for itself, and the relationships he has formed and continues to form with the Greenville community are a key reason why the Drive organization has had much of the success that it has had.

"Eric's commitment to excellence, and willingness to put in extra effort, are just a few reasons why he has been so successful during his time with the Drive," added deMaine. "He's creative, he's passionate about baseball and he is extremely dedicated to ensuring that the fan experience at Fluor Field is the best in Minor League Baseball."

Last season, Jarinko served as the Drive's vice president of ballpark experience, where he oversaw the organization's media relations and sponsor services, while integrating new methods and techniques to ensure the highest level of customer service for all fans at Fluor Field.

Prior to last season, he served as senior director of media and marketing services from 2010-11, and media relations director from 2006-09. During that time period, he was named South Atlantic League Media Relations Director of the Year in 2009 and 2010. In addition, Jarinko was named by Greenville Business Magazine as one of their "35 Best Under 35" in 2011.

During his time with the Drive, Jarinko has worked side-by-side with the Upstate media outlets to optimize the organization's exposure, while also serving as the Drive's liaison for all corporate partner relationships including Greenville Hospital System, BI-LO, Duke Energy, and Southwest Airlines.

"Success usually comes to those who are too busy to look for it," said Brown. "It is wonderful to be able to formally recognize Eric's contributions to our success with this promotion. Eric has a very bright future and we are very pleased to add this title to what he has already accomplished."
