Mets Sign INF Matt Tuiasosopo

The New York Mets today announced the club has signed INF MATT TUIASOSOPO to a minor league contract. He will report to minor league camp. -the herd-
Tuiasosopo, 25, spent last season in Seattle's organization, hitting .226 (99-439) with 14 home runs and 77RBI in 116 games for Triple-A Tacoma of the Pacific Coast League. The 6-2, 230-pound native of Bellevue, WA played parts of three seasons in the majors with Seattle, compiling a career batting average of .176 (34-193) with five home runs and 15RBI in 71 games from 2008-2010.
Tuiasosopo's father, Manu, and brother, Marques, both played in the NFL. Manu spent three seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, while Marques played for eight years with the Oakland Raiders and New York Jets.
