Charlie Shirek won his fifth straight start for the Winston-Salem Dash, tossing seven strong innings against the Salem Red Sox on May 15. Jason Heyward, a top outfield prospect in the Braves organization, belted three home runs in a recent four-game span for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. More

Rancho Cucamonga outfielder Jeremy Moore hit safely in all seven games he played last week, going 11-for-30 with five RBIs. Roger Kieschnick, who closed out the week on a six-game hitting streak, and is hitting .410 in his last 10 games for San Jose. More

Mets pitching prospect Brad Holt has yielded one run while striking out 14 batters in his previous 10 2/3 innings for St. Lucie, while Palm Beach hurler Nick Additon held Charlotte to just three hits over six innings in a 2-0 win May 14. More

Stephen Chapman became the first member of the Dragons to homer twice in a game this season, LumberKings leadoff man Maximo Mendez tripled in three consecutive games last week and Kernels infielder Adam Younger went 4-for-4 with three doubles Saturday. More
