Miracle release 2013 season schedule

FORT MYERS, Fla. (November 16, 2012) - The Fort Myers Miracle are pleased to announce the release of the 2013 season schedule. Beginning on April 4 and ending on September 1, the 22nd season of Miracle baseball will feature 140 games in 151 days including 70 home dates at Hammond Stadium.

The Miracle open the season on Thursday, April 4 against the Bradenton Marauders at 7:05 p.m. After traveling to Bradenton the next day, the Miracle return to Hammond Stadium to face the Marauders with an opening weekend fireworks show on Saturday, April 6.

"We are tremendously excited for the onset of another season of Miracle Baseball," said Miracle General Manager Andrew Seymour, "We've got a terrific staff in place that are eager to dazzle and entertain Southwest Florida with a wealth of fun-filled promotions."

Start times for games at Hammond Stadium in 2013 are 7:05 p.m. for games Monday through Friday. Saturday games will begin at 6:05 p.m. and Sunday games will start at 4:05 p.m. except for April 14 which will begin at 2:35 p.m.

On April 16, the Miracle will host a NCAA Division I match-up between the University of Florida and Florida Gulf Coast University. The Miracle game versus the Palm Beach Cardinals will begin at 2:35 p.m. and the Gators and Eagles will play at 7 p.m.

Local schools will have the opportunity to participate in Education Day on May 8. The Miracle host the Tampa Yankees for a 10:35 a.m. start and teachers can contact the Miracle for baseball inspired curriculum. Big Splash, another highly anticipated day for children, is on July 10. The Miracle host the Jupiter Hammerheads at 12:05 p.m., but prior to the game Hammond Stadium is converted to a wet and wild waterpark.

The Miracle have 11 home dates in April, 16 in May, 13 in June, 17 in July, 12 in August and conclude the regular season on Sunday, September 1 at home against Bradenton. The schedule also features 11 Thursday games, 10 Friday dates and 11 Saturday night games.

Ticket prices in advance for 2013 remain the same: $8.50 ($9.50 for fireworks nights) for Box Seats/Drink Rail Seating and $6.50 ($7.50 for fireworks nights) for General Admission/Lawn Seating sections. All ticket prices increase by $1 on the day of game.
