Nationals option Harper to Hagerstown

The Washington Nationals optioned outfielder Bryce Harper to Hagerstown of the Single-A South Atlantic League Saturday. Nationals Executive Vice President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Mike Rizzo made the announcement.

The Nationals currently have 42 players in their big league camp.

"We are excited to learn the Nationals have optioned Bryce Harper to Hagerstown," Suns General Manager Bill Farley said. "This brings us one step closer to seeing this special player in a Suns uniform."

Harper is expected to make his debut with the Suns in the exhibition game against the Harrisburg Senators on April 5 at 6 p.m. Exhibition game tickets are now on sale. All tickets are $5 and will be general admission seating. Suns season ticket holders and sponsors will be admitted for free. Tickets are available in person or by calling the Suns at 301-791-6266.
