International League
Josh Reddick, Pawtucket

Josh Reddick, considered one of the Red Sox's top prospects coming into the season, has rebounded from a slow start (he was hitting .211 on July 15) to claim his second IL Player of the Week Award in the month of August. From Aug. 1-29, he led the IL with eight homers, was second with 23 RBIs and was seventh with a .375 average. This week, Reddick helped the PawSox win six in a row after Monday's loss. Even in the losing effort, though, Reddick did his part; he homered twice, singled and walked that day. He homered again Tuesday while going 5-for-5, and he hit yet another home run Wednesday during a four-RBI game. After settling for a double Thursday, he missed the cycle by a triple to collect four more RBIs on Friday. He doubled twice Saturday and singled and stole a base Sunday.

Pacific Coast League
Russ Mitchell, Albuquerque

Russ Mitchell, who's played all of his eight pro seasons in the Dodgers organization, boosted his batting average up to .325 this week, which puts him sixth in the PCL. His 153 hits are the third most in the league, and nobody's scored more than his 94 runs. He went 4-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and three RBIs in his first game of the week on Tuesday, and he hit safely in each of the week's games. He homered twice, doubled and scored three runs Wednesday, and he scored four more runs during another three-hit game Friday. Mitchell closed out the week by homering in back-to-back games on Saturday and Sunday.

Eastern League
Ryan Lavarnway, Portland

All but one of Ryan Lavarnway's hits this week were for extra bases, and he reached safely more than 60 percent of the time. The Red Sox catching prospect is enjoying a breakout year, and he's caught fire once again in the Eastern League after some growing pains early from late July to early August. He started this week by homering and doubling Monday, and he homered again the next day, and doubled again the day after that. He went yard in back-to-back games for the second time in the week over Thursday and Friday, combining for four RBIs and three runs scored while also collecting three walks. He walked three more times and scored Saturday, and he had an RBI double, a run scored and another walk Sunday.

Southern League
Cole Armstrong, Birmingham

Canadian backstop Cole Armstrong had multiple hits in every game he played this week except for Saturday's 0-for-3 outing, in which the White Sox farmhand walked and scored a run. He slapped out a pair of singles and scored twice Monday and ripped two doubles Wednesday, scoring another run in that game. He homered, singled twice and scored twice more Thursday, but he saved the best for last. On Sunday, Armstrong homered and doubled to drive in a season-high five runs, scoring twice in the process.

Texas League
Andrew Brown, Springfield

Andrew Brown took his lumps Monday, twice getting hit by a pitch in the series finale in San Antonio. The Cardinals prospect converted his bruises into two runs scored, though, and more than half of his hits in the week that followed landed on the other side of the fence. Plus, he worked two bases-on-balls in three different games. Brown singled, drove in a run, walked twice and scored twice in his next game, and he went yard Thursday. He hit two more homers Saturday and another one Sunday, also stealing a base in that game.

California League
Cody Decker, Lake Elsinore

After combining for a home run, a double, two runs scored, three RBIs and a pair of walks over his first two games of the week, Cody Decker hit a wall Wednesday. He was hitless with a strikeout, and an unsuccessful pinch-hit attempt the next day put him in an 0-for-5 hole. Decker, a 22nd-round pick of the Padres out of last summer's Draft, singled walked and scored a run Friday, and he emphatically shut the door on the mini-skid over the two weekend days. He went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and two runs scored Saturday, and he homered twice to plate three Sunday, going 2-for-2 with two walks.

Carolina League
Tyler Townsend, Frederick

Tyler Townsend, the Orioles' third-rounder from last year, spent time in the Gulf Coast League and the South Atlantic League before making his Class A Advanced debut on July 24. In 21 Carolina League at-bats between then and this week, Townsend managed only one hit. He moved past the poor start with a three-run homer in the first game of a Wednesday doubleheader, and he liked the good feeling so much he decided not to let up. He doubled in the nightcap, and he notched another two-bagger in the game after that. Townsend also knocked an RBI single up the middle in that Thursday tilt. He homered and singled Friday, singled Saturday and had an RBI double and two walks Sunday.

Florida State League
Deibinson Romero, Fort Myers

Twins prospect Deibinson Romero shook off an 0-for-10 rut when he singled twice and walked twice in his first game of the week on Tuesday, and he tripled, doubled twice, knocked in two runs, walked and scored in Game 1 of a Thursday twinbill. He singled and walked in the second game and did the same in Friday's game. He had a seventh-inning RBI double Saturday and came around to score the tying run in a game the Miracle would win. He walked in a run and singled Sunday.

Midwest League
Vinnie Catricala, Clinton

Vinnie Catricala, who homered in three straight games in the beginning of the month, kicked off the week with long balls in two consecutive tilts, going 6-for-10 with a double, three runs scored and five RBIs over Monday and Tuesday. He was 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and three runs scored Wednesday, and he doubled and scored again in the first game of a Thursday doubleheader. The Mariners prospect doubled yet again on Friday and Saturday and grabbed his fifth two-bagger of the week in Game 2 of a Sunday doubleheader.

South Atlantic League
Reynaldo Rodriguez, Greenville

Greenville, which enters the new week one game up on second-place Asheville in the Sally League Southern Division race, can be thankful for Reynaldo Rodriguez. The Boston prospect helped the Drive take five of six this week, including three against Asheville. He was 4-for-6 with a homer over Monday and Tuesday, collecting three RBIs, a stolen base and two walks at the week's start. Rodriguez started the series against the Tourists cold, going 0-for-6, but he was 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI on Saturday, and he homered, stole a base, walked twice and crossed the plate four times himself in Sunday's rout.

New York-Penn League
Adalberto Santos, State College

Adalberto Santos, the Pirates' 22nd-round choice in this year's Draft, reached base with a pair of walks in his first game of the week and put together the sixth three-hit game of his young pro career the next day. He homered, doubled and walked, scoring three runs, on Thursday. He walked three times and earned an RBI while going 0-for-5 between Friday and Saturday, and he went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored while earning a base-on-balls for his sixth straight game.

Northwest League
Kevin Rivers, Everett

Mariners prospect Kevin Rivers is playing his first season out of the Rookie-level Arizona League, but he picks up his second Player of the Week award this week. He doubled in his third consecutive game in the opener of Monday's doubleheader, driving in two runs and scoring twice. After an 0-for-4 Tuesday, he tripled and homered to collect three RBIs on Wednesday. He plated another run Thursday and had two hits Friday. On Sunday, he went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

Appalachian League
Ryan Delgado, Danville

Ryan Delgado, a late-round pick of the Braves in this year's Draft, homered in back-to-back games at the start of the week and was 8-for-14 with seven RBIs and five runs scored from Tuesday to Thursday. He singled twice Friday and singled, walked and scored Saturday. On Sunday, he entered the game as a pinch hitter in the ninth inning and reached on an error.

Pioneer League
Ryan Casteel, Casper

Ryan Casteel, whom the Rockies picked up in the 17th round of this year's Draft, strung together four multiple-hit games this week. He went yard in his first game of the week, on Wednesday, which was the only tilt in which he was limited to one hit. On Friday, he went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, an RBI and three runs scored -- it was the first of three straight games in which he doubled. On Sunday, Casteel collected a career-high five RBIs, missing the cycle by a home run while going 4-for-6 with a pair of runs scored in Casper's 12-4 win over Missoula.
