Padres Roll to 11-1 Win Over Bees

Tucson clubbed four home runs, as the Padres rolled to an 11-1 win over the Salt Lake Bees on Friday night.

Tucson opened the game with a four run first inning off of Salt Lake starter Brian Lawrence with the final two runs coming in on a two run homer by Jesus Guzman. The Padres would add two more runs in the second, three in the fourth and two more in the fifth. Will Venable and Anthony Rizzo would also go deep off of Lawrence and Venable homered off of Amalio Diaz. Tucson starter Matt Buschmann tossed a complete game six hitter for the win.

Lawrence (2-4) suffered his third straight loss, as he went just three and one-third innings and allowed nine runs, eight earned, on eleven hits. Tyson Auer led the Bees with two hits, including a double, as Salt Lake has now dropped seven of their last nine games. Paul McAnulty went 0-for-3 to snap his ten game hitting streak.
