San Jose Giants Announce Board Changes

Larry Baer, Bill Schlough and Charlie Collier Added to Board of Directors

SAN JOSE, CA- The San Jose Giants announced today several new additions to their Board of Directors. Bill Schlough, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for the San Francisco Giants, was named the new Chairman of the Board. After serving as Interim Team President for the San Jose Giants this past year, he replaces former San Francisco Giants Managing General Partner Bill Neukom as chairman.

"I enjoyed my time in San Jose learning all aspects of running a successful minor league organization," said Schlough. "I look forward to joining the board and the opportunity to continue working with the team to further integrate our organizations."

Under Schlough, the San Francisco Giants have been recognized as one of the most innovative teams in all of professional sports. The organization has enhanced the fan experience through an array of cutting-edge technologies, while also implementing a number of revolutionary systems to create a competitive advantage on the field.

The board also welcomed current San Francisco Giants President and CEO Larry Baer, along with AMC President and General Manager Charlie Collier. Baer and Collier join Schlough, Dick Beahrs and Bobby Evans as members of the board. They will work to sustain San Jose's status as a perennial postseason contender and to provide an outstanding entertainment experience for San Jose Giants fans.

Baer, a fourth generation San Franciscan, is a graduate from UC Berkeley and Harvard Business School. He started in the Giants organization in 1980 and is responsible for the overall day-to-day functioning of both the baseball and business aspects of the San Francisco Giants. He is now not only a member of the San Jose Giants Board of Directors, but also serves on the Board of Directors of KQED, Inc., the San Francisco Committee on Jobs, the Boys and Girls Club of San Francisco and the Bay Area Council.

As President and General Manager of AMC since 2006, Collier oversees every aspect of the AMC brand, spearheading their multiplatform network. Under his leadership, AMC has garnered critical acclaim and record-breaking ratings. Collier earned his Master in Business Administration degree from Columbia University and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Bucknell University.
