- The Florida State League announced today that St. Lucie Mets infielder, Rylan Sandoval has been named the Florida State League Player of the Week for the week of August 8 - 14, 2011.
In seven games Sandoval collected 11 hits in 21 plate appearances. His hits included three homeruns and four doubles. He scored six runs and had 11 RBI's. His slugging percentage was 1.143 and his OBP was .630. This is Rylan's second year in professional baseball and he resides Hayward, CA.
