Kyle Hudson followed with a single to right field. Hudson then went first to third on a error by third baseman Nick Arata on a grounder off the bat of Rodolfo Cardona. Xavier Avery grounded out to first, allowing Hudson to score.

The Shorebirds tallied a run in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to build a 6-0 lead. In the fourth, Luis Bernardo tripled to lead off the frame. Then, Xavier Avery doubled down the right field line to score Bernardo. In the fifth, Jacob Julius tripled off the top of the right field wall. Kyle Hudson followed with a single through the right side of the infield. In the sixth, Elvin Polanco drove home L.J. Hoes with a single up the middle.

The Suns fought back with one run in the seventh and two in the eighth inning before Brett Bordes retired the Suns in the ninth to earn his third save of the season.

The Shorebirds recorded a season high four triples.

Shorebirds starter Ryan O'Shea was tremendous in 6.1 innings. He scattered five hits and one run. O'Shea also fanned six and walked just one.
