Soggy Infield Postpones Doubledays Game

Auburn, NY - Due to rain and a soggy infield, Thursday night's game between the Auburn Doubledays and Aberdeen IronBirds was postponed to a Friday night doubleheader at Falcon Park, starting at 5:05pm.

A brief but strong rainstorm struck the field at Falcon Park approximately one hour before game time, initially delaying first pitch of the game. After repeated attempts to get the field ready for play, the field was deemed unplayable and the game was postponed.

Fans who had tickets to Thursday night's game can exchange them based on availability for any Doubledays game in 2011. All ticket exchanges must be made in person at the Doubledays box office.

The Doubledays and IronBirds will play a doubleheader on Friday night, with game one beginning at 5:05pm and game two starting approximately thirty minutes after the completion of game one. For tickets, please visit www.auburndoubledays.com.
