George Springer, MLB.com's No. 48 prospect, homered, tripled and drove in four runs to power the Solar Sox past the Saguaros. Dodgers infielder Rafael Ynoa and Bobby Borchering (Astros) also went deep as Mesa improved to 2-2 in the young Arizona Fall League season. Mets prospect Darrell Ceciliani went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs for Surprise, while Red Sox outfielder Bryce Brentz added his first AFL longball. Recap | Gameday box score

Phoenix 13, Peoria 3
The Desert Dogs scored eight times in the first inning off Phillies right-hander Kyle Simon, with three runs coming off the bat of Braves' No. 10 prospect Nick Ahmed. The shortstop went 3-for-3 with a double, four RBIs, two runs scored and a walk. A's No. 12 prospect Max Stassi homered and also drove in four runs for Phoenix. Minor League stolen base record-holder Billy Hamilton (Reds) collected three hits out of the leadoff spot for Peoria. He swiped second in the opening inning but was promptly picked off. Five pitchers combined on a three-hitter as the Scorpions handed the Rafters their first loss. Yankees' No. 17 prospect Dellin Betances (1-1) earned the win after striking out four in two innings of perfect relief. A couple of other New York farmhands contributed, with Mark Montgomery getting all of his four outs via punchouts and David Adams going 2-for-2 with two walks and a run scored.
