Suns name new broadcast partner

Jacksonville games will air on FM for first time in 2013
January 25, 2013
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Suns are pleased to announce that all 140 regular season games during the 2013 season will be broadcast live on 94.1 WSOS-FM. The 2013 Southern League All-Star Game, which will be held at Bragan Field on Wed, July 17, will also be broadcast on 94.1 along with any Suns playoff games.

This will mark the first time in Suns history that the games will be broadcast on FM, and also the first time in many years that every game will be broadcast live, no matter if it is an 11:05 a.m. Celebration of Reading Day, a 1:05 p.m. Business Person Special, or all of the Suns 7:05 night games.

The 2013 game broadcasts will be led by Suns director of broadcasting, Roger Hoover, who is thrilled with this partnership. "I'm excited that the Suns are partnering with 94.1 WSOS for the 2013 season. Getting to be on the radio for every single game, plus the All-Star Game and any potential playoff games, is a great advantage for our fans as we build the best radio broadcast in the Southern League."

Renda Broadcasting, parent company of 94.1 WSOS, is also excited about the new broadcast partnership. When reached for comment Renda Broadcasting Jacksonville general manager Bill Reese said "We are thrilled to expand our sports programming on 94.1 WSOS. Adding the Suns to our lineup that already includes Florida State University Football and Basketball is a tremendous opportunity for our station."

2013 Season Ticket Plans and Sponsorships are currently available. Please contact the Jacksonville Suns Office at 904-358-2846 or log on to www.jaxsuns.com for more information. The 2013 season is presented by Everbank, official banking partner of the Jacksonville Suns.
