Suns Split Series with Augusta

Hagerstown, MD - The Hagerstown Suns (17-13) lost a rain shortened game, 8-1, after 6 1/2 innings to the Augusta GreenJackets (13-16) at Municipal Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

Suns starting pitcher Kylin Turbull (0-2) suffered the loss, allowing two runs on two hits, three walks and one strike out over two innings of work. Reliever Brain Dupra was hit for six runs on six hits in 2.1 innings of relief.

GreenJackets starter Edwin Escobar (2-1) earned the victory going five innings and giving up one run on four hits, two walks and four strike outs.

Augusta was led at the plate by designated hitter Brett Krill, who went 2-for-4 with a double and a pair of RBIs, while second baseman Carlos Willoughby and third baseman Jose Cuevas also doubled and knocked two runs each.

The Suns will enjoy an off-day on Wednesday before beginning a four game series at the Lexington Legends on Thursday night at 7:05 p.m.
