The Dell Diamond to Host SPIRIT Fest

August 7, 2011 11:42 AM ET

The largest faith-based music festival in Central Texas history is coming to The Dell Diamond on Nov. 13. SPIRIT Fest, hosted by Spirit 105.9 FM, features some of the biggest acts in Christian radio. The one-day festival will rival the lineups that multi-day festivals hold. Five of the acts have headlined their own shows, and they will share two stages in Round Rock.

No stranger to hosting concerts, Ryan Sanders Entertainment and The Dell Diamond have hosted several over the past 11 years. SPIRIT Fest promises to be one of the largest concerts ever at the stadium and the stadium's first faith-based concert.

"We are excited to announce this marquis festival and are proud to bring the biggest event of its kind to the Round Rock-Austin area," Express General Manager George King said.

Musical acts that will perform at SPIRIT Fest include Amy Grant, Third Day, Michael W. Smith, Tenth Avenue North, Peter Furler (former lead singer of the Newsboys) and Trevor Morgan.

Spirit 105.9 will also host a battle of the bands on their Facebook page. Christian bands can submit videos of their bands to the Facebook page and the radio station will pick bands to perform during the day at SPIRIT Fest.

Through Wounded Warriors, a complimentary offer will be extended to the families of fallen heroes, Wounded Warriors and their families. More information on the special offer is available through Tim Horton at the Wounded Warriors Coalition at (210) 569-0314. Active and retired military service members will also receive a $5 discount for them and their families.

Spirit 105.9 is giving away free child tickets with the purchase of an adult general admission ticket. Child tickets also are half-price with the purchase of a reserved seat.

There will be group discounts for churches. Groups of 10 or more receive a $5 discount on all tickets except for the platinum option. Super groups of 30 or more receive a $10 discount plus two free tickets for the group coordinator.
