Norfolk fell to Lehigh Valley 11-1 on a rainy Monday night from Harbor Park.

The game was delayed for an hour and 29 minutes in the bottom of the first and again for eight minutes in the fourth frame before being called with two outs in the top of the sixth.

The IronPigs pounded out 13 hits, highlighted by a grand slam by Jason Ellison in a seven-run fourth inning.

Tides starter Jake Arrieta pitched just one inning and allowed one hit before being removed when the game resumed after the first rain delay. Andy Mitchell (3-2) suffered the loss, allowing seven earned runs on seven hits in 2.0 innings of relief.

Joey Gathright paced Norfolk's offense with three infield hits and scored on an RBI single by Jolbert Cabrera.

Norfolk will welcome the Pawtucket Red Sox to Harbor Park on Tuesday night for the start of a four-game set. Chris Tillman (5-4, 2.55) will take the hill for Norfolk against Pawsox knuckleballer Charlie Zink (4-5, 4.34). First pitch is scheduled for 7:15.
