No. 11 Cubs prospect Josh Vitters homered and drove in two runs and No. 2 Chicago prospect Brett Jackson tripled and picked up an RBI as Iowa beat Memphis, 8-2. Ryan Jackson brought home both of the Redbirds' runs.
Michael Bianucci plated four runs while Brad Nelson, Luis Hernandez and Matt Kata homered as Round Rock topped Nashville, 8-5, in 10 innings. No. 15 Brewers prospect Caleb Gindl homered and collected two RBIs for the Sounds in the loss.
Matt Kemp homered and doubled in his final Triple-A rehab start and Brian Cavazos-Galvez added a three-run shot as Albuquerque edged Oklahoma City, 11-9. Angel Sanchez homered and Brian Bixler picked up three hits for the RedHawks.
Top D-backs prospect Trevor Bauer allowed two runs on six hits and four walks while striking out eight over six innings to improve to 2-0 at Triple-A in Reno's 10-2 win over Sacramento. Randy Ruiz went 4-for-5 and homered and No. 17 Arizona prospect Ryan Wheeler homered and doubled for the Aces. Yoenis Cespedes went 1-for-3 rehabbing with the River Cats and Manny Ramirez went 2-for-4.
No. 12 Mariners prospect Erasmo Ramirez (2-1) scattered one run on six hits without a walk with six strikeouts over 7 1/3 innings to lead Tacoma in a 4-1 victory over Tucson. Trayvon Robinson homered and plated two runs to lead the Rainiers offensively. Cody Decker and Beamer Weems both doubled for the Padres.
The Blue Jays' No. 19 prospect, Moises Sierra, went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs to pace Las Vegas in a 6-2 win over Salt Lake. Adam Lind added a pair of RBIs and No. 16 Jays prospect Adeiny Hechavarria went 2-for-5 and scored twice for the 51s. Cory Aldridge homered for the Bees.
Roger Kieschnick homered and drove in three runs while Todd Linden tripled and plated two as Fresno topped Colorado Springs, 10-8. Justin Christian went 3-for-4 and scored two runs out of the leadoff spot for the Grizzlies. Andrew Brown led the Sky Sox with a home run and three RBIs.
In the International League, Mets' No. 9 prospect Jordany Valdespin homered and drove in three runs to lead Buffalo to a 7-1 win over Columbus. Left fielder Fred Lewis was 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored. Bisons starter Dylan Owen allowed one run on two hits and a walk over six innings.
Charlotte right-hander Terry Doyle threw 7 1/3 no-hit innings before a double by Rochester's Matt Carson broke up the streak in the eighth inning of the Knights' 4-1 victory. Doyle left after the extra-base hit, finishing with the one hit and three strikeouts over 7 1/3 frames. Charlotte designated hitter Tyler Kuhn was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Pedro Florimon hit a solo home run with two outs in the ninth to provide the only tally for the Red Wings.
Blake Davis, who entered Monday hitting .180 on the season, was 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs to help Norfolk best Pawtucket, 6-4. Jai Miller and Jamie Hoffmann added solo blasts for the Tides while former American League MVP Miguel Tejada was 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. Josh Kroeger was homered, doubled and scored twice for the PawSox.
All seven runs from Louisville's 4-3 win over Syracuse were scored in the first three innings. Bats leadoff hitter Kristopher Negron set the table by going 2-for-3 with a homer and two runs scored. Francisco Cervelli hit his second home run of the season -- a two-run shot -- as part of a 2-for-4 day as Scranton/Wilkes-Barre defeated Toledo, 6-3. Mud Hens designated hitter Brad Eldred hit two home runs in the loss to give him 20 on the year, the most in the Minor Leagues.
Jeff Clement went deep twice to double his home run total in 2012 during Indianapolis' 7-4 win over Durham. His solo homer in the third tied the game, 4-4, while Alex Presley's two-run blast in the fifth broke the deadlock. Lance Zawadzki hit a three-run walk-off homer to cap off a six-run ninth inning that helped Gwinnett sprint past Lehigh Valley, 9-8. The Braves second baseman finished the day 3-for-5 with five RBIs. IronPigs catcher John Suomi finished a triple shy of the cycle, going 4-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs scored.
