February 28, 2012
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Tucson Padres fans will be able to hear every game on radio this season, as the team has partnered with Clear Channel Media and Entertainment to broadcast games on Radio Tejano 1600 AM. All games will be broadcast in English, with 10-minute pregame and postgame shows during each broadcast. In addition, every game will be streamed worldwide via www.tejano1600.com and www.tucsonpadres.com online.

"Our biggest request from fans was to make sure we get all games on a traditional radio station this year," said Mike Feder, Tucson Padres vice president and general manager. "This broadcast agreement gives our fans a strong AM signal that covers the metro area. We are thrilled to join forces with Clear Channel."

"Clear Channel Media and Entertainment are extremely excited about our radio broadcast partnership with the Tucson Padres for the 2012 season," said Rodney Shepherd, Clear Channel's local sales manager. "When we have an opportunity to support our local sports teams and share a winning brand of baseball with our listeners, it is always a home run!"

The first broadcast will begin at 6:55 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, when the Padres host Fresno on Opening Night. Tim Hagerty will provide the play-by-play for all games, in his second season with the Tucson Padres and ninth in Minor League Baseball.
