MOBILE, Ala. (May 14, 2019) - The Mobile BayBears, the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, came back from a four-run deficit and tied the game in the seventh but were handed an 8-7 loss by the Jackson Generals Tuesday night at Hank Aaron Stadium.

After roaring back from 10 runs behind and sending the tying run to the plate late in the second game of Monday's doubleheader, the BayBears (15-23) went down 6-2 early Tuesday night. Bo Way , who hit his first home run since 2017 to open the scoring in the second, hit an RBI double in the fourth to cut Jackson's (21-16) lead to 6-3. Kaleb Cowart trimmed the lead to two with a sacrifice fly in the fifth, and Jhoan Urena hit a pair of RBI singles in the fifth and seventh to tie the game.

However, the BayBears were denied a chance to take their first lead of the series. Jackson broke the 6-6 tie against Joe Gatto (3-1) in the eighth. Gatto gave up one hit, walked two batters, and threw two wild pitches.

Jahmai Jones extended his hit streak to nine games with an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth, but the BayBears left runners stranded on second and third.

Jazz Chisholm, the Diamondbacks No. 1 prospect, hit his league-high 10th home run of the season, a two-run shot in the third. The Generals scored six runs in the first three frames.

The BayBears wrap up the five-game home series against Jackson Wednesday at 6:35 p.m. Right-handed pitcher Jeremy Beasley (1-3, 5.61 ERA) is scheduled to make the start against righty Bo Takahashi (2-2, 5.00 ERA) for the Generals.
